Jardins de Metis/Reford Gardens are participating in the 2014 National Edition of Communities in Bloom in the Special Attractions Category, along with the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, AB and the National Battlefields Commission, QC. The Communities in Bloom judges, Odette Sabourin-Dumais of St-Bruno-de-Montarville, QC and Gerald Lajeunesse, Ottawa, ON will evaluate Jardins de Metis/Reford Gardens on July 31st, 2014. Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility, beautification and to improving quality of life through community participation and a national challenge. The National and International results will be announced in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island during the Awards Ceremonies from September 17 to 20, 2014. The concurrent National Symposium on Parks and Grounds offers conference sessions, workshops, and technical visits with the theme of Celebrating People, Plants and Pride …20 years later.
